Three Day Diet
There are a wide variety of diet plans to help people lose weight. While the precise composition of the foods in these diets differ, the premise remains the same. There are a number of three day diet plans available and the reality is that some of these diets are in reality starvation diets.
Instead of eating solid foods you are allowed to eat or drink only a few specific items. The quantities of food that you are allowed to eat are severely restricted. In some of these diets you may not even be allowed any type of food at all. Instead you learn that drinking certain types of fluids is the best and quickest way for you to lose weight.
The three day diet plans in general state that you can lose around 5 to 10 pounds of surplus body fat. You should be aware, though, that you will probably regain the weight that you have lost. There are also other health aspects that you may want to consider.
Since most three day diet programs are aimed at very rapid weight loss it is usually fluids and body muscle tone that suffer. This imbalance does not help anyone who is trying to lose weight. The reality of the matter is that the surplus fat which is the reason for your being overweight in the first place is still in your body.
In order to rid yourself of your unwanted surplus fat a sensible diet and exercise regime make the most sense. The problem is that when people look at the different diet plans available and especially such options as three day diet plans, the appeal lies in the promise of rapid visible results.
For this reason rapid diets are very popular. With the long term diet where you change what you eat and the way that you live the results become evident over a longer period of time. You should make a decision at this point as to whether you will be losing weight in a consistent manner and if you need to find a better dietary plan.
The main thing to remember with a three day diet is that you will see yourself losing a noticeable amount of weight in the short term. To keep this weight off, however, you need to look for other activities and food regimes that you can sustain in the long term. Make sure that at all times you keep healthy. After all, what is the point of starting a three day diet if it makes you ill?
